The Colorado Owl Festival, held March 27 and 28, demonstrated the importance of rehabilitation and even more importantly, education on the birds of prey. From owl activities to games to one-on-one experiences with their resident raptors and volunteers, the Colorado Owl Festival opens the minds and hearts of each individual. “It’s so cool to share them with kids, even adults, it’s a treat to share them with people, they get a lot of enjoyment out of education”, said Diana Miller, Nature and Raptor Center Director. The Nature and Raptor Center is located at 4828 Nature Center Rd, Pueblo CO, 81003. The Nature and Raptor Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with weekend raptor talks beginning at 11:30 a.m. Elizabeth Tew | View photo
