An unusually warm Halloween night garnered more than 725 children in costumes who walked through the gate, creating a shortage of kids bags by the Parks and Recreation Department.“Every year, we give a gift basket out at the front door,” said Carol Cosby, director of Pueblo West Parks and Recreation Department. “This year it was handed to the 350th person and we didn’t get his name. The basket was full of gift donations from businesses in our community.” About 40 Pueblo West High School DECA and student council members helps volunteer, as well as the girls scouts and the Pueblo West Women’s League.
