Then over the weekend, the boys competed in the Hornet Invite where they won their division with a total of 44 points. Eric Powell and Andrew Maal were the stars of the dual meet while Devin Trujillo was the star for the invite. Trujillo’s time of 53.38 in the 100 Butterfly was 1/10 off of his state time from last season. Head Coach Andrew Halvorson said he is very pleased with his swimmers and is looking forward to the next meet. “Our goal for the next meet is to learn more about how the bottom half of the team can perform,” Halvorson said. Currently, the swim team is 3-0-1 and 3-0 in the league. Their next meet was April 22, too late to be reported in this week’s View. — story by Hope Sickler
