District 70 board to discuss bond projects
Panel expected to vote on construction contracts
Several contracts related to Pueblo County District 70’s $59.5 million bond program will be considered tonight by the school board.
The board is scheduled to vote on contracts for work at Prairie Winds and Liberty Point elementary schools and Skyview and Liberty Point International middle schools.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Administrative Services Center, 301 28th Lane. A work session is scheduled immediately after the regular meeting.
Prior to voting on the bond contracts, the board will hear a progress report on bond projects already underway this summer.
In unrelated action, the board also is scheduled to vote on revisions to a policy related to the district’s relation with charter schools. The board also will vote on a contract for auditing services, and several personnel changes to include assignments, resignations and transfers.
At the work session, the board will hear a report on a fire protection plan at Pueblo County High School and will review changes pertaining to peer mediation, student conduct and student use of the Internet.
