The Pueblo West View

Summer readings

The Pueblo City-County Library District’s summer reading program is not just for children and teens. The Pueblo West branch has several upcoming hands-on programs specifically for adults, as part of the “Groundbreaking Reads” theme.

The first class is pottery with the Cup and Bowl Pottery Studio, to be held July 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Teachers from the Cup and Bowl Pottery Studio will offer a class instructing participants how to build an object with clay.

The class size is limited, and advanced reservations are required. Contact Susan Wolf at 553-0220.

The next adult class is Introduction to Photographic Composition with Jerry Burgess. The class will be July 13 from 2-3:45 p.m. Local photographer Burgess will give photographic composition techniques and tips to help create striking photos with mood, impact and visual attraction.

The photography class is also limited in space. Reservations are required. Contact Cindy Shimizu at 562-5662.

The third glass in July for adults will be How to Meet your Spirit Guides, Angels and Power Animals, with Tianna Galgano. The class is scheduled for July 16 from 7-8:30 p.m. Galgano is a Pueblo West author, Dream Master, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and more.
