Letter: Roundabout problems
I would like to praise the letter writer for pointing out the possible problems that roundabouts (or traffic circles) can cause (“Know before you vote,” The Pueblo West View, July 11, 2013).
I lived in New Jersey for 16 years before moving to Pueblo West in 2007.
New Jersey, at one time, had traffic circles everywhere.
But as population grew and traffic increased, the obsolete circles were replaced by well-designed and engineered, traffic-light controlled intersections.
Let’s not let the county commissioners shove a roundabout down our throats.
A light controlled intersection is all we need.
If roundabouts are so wonderful, why are there none to be found in the county?
