Horses for housing trail ride set

The rains stopped.

And while the rains stopped, now might be the time to saddle the horses up and head to the trails.

And for a good cause.

The Pueblo Association of Realtors and the local Colorado Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Fund is organizing a trail ride on Sept. 28 as a fundraiser for local housing issues and needs.

All the money raised at the trail ride will stay in Pueblo County.

Ammie Thomas, of Prudential Platinum Real estate, is the chairperson of the event and working with local businesses to help sponsor the event.

How does it work?

Riders will bring their own horses and pay a donation to participate and will choose one of two trails to ride, from beginner to intermediate trails.

The ride will begin at Katmando’s General Store, 607 S. McCulloch Blvd., on the corner of McCulloch and Carrizo Springs.

Rider will need to be ready to ride at 9 a.m.

For sponsorship or participation, contact Ammie Thomas at 225-9961 or click on the Facebook page at Horses for Housing.
