Entries sought for light parade
The snow might turn into ice, and the wet roads might become slippery and slide but that doesn’t stop anyone from attending the annual Holiday in Lights along Joe Martinez Boulevard during the holiday season.
It is a community affair.
And that’s why the theme for the 2013 Parade of Lights is named after: “Community Christmas.”
The Holiday in Lights will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7.
The Pueblo West Metropolitan District, Pueblo West Chamber of Commerce and Pueblo West Rotary Club are looking for parade entries starting now.
Entry fee is one new unwrapped toy.
Parade deadline entry is at 5 p.m. Nov. 22.
All parade entries must be decorated for the Christmas season in some form or fashion, officials with the Pueblo West Metropolitan District said.
Entries that do not relate to the Christmas season will not be allowed in this year’s parade, and your entry fee will not be returned.
The only thing is that entries cannot contain any type of Santa Claus. Santa will have his own float or ride.
