Letter: Let the people speak
I am in complete agreement with Bob Hyatt’s letter last week (‘Keep those letters coming,” The Pueblo West View, Sept. 26, 2013).
I am concerned and perturbed on the agreement concerning Desert Hawk Golf Course.
I appreciate the letters that inform the community of the facts of the Intergovernmental Agreement.
It does not make sense for the community members as a whole.
Everyone I talk to is very worried about their water bills.
I wouldn’t mind using untreated water for watering for a lower cost.
Desert Hawk receives such a deal.
Let the people speak.
Let us vote on whether to continue maintaining DHGC at the expense of community or end the foolish agreement.
I believe these economic times call for wise and prudent decisions for all of the community.
And the community should not expect any less.
