The Pueblo West View

Letter: Thank you

As the president of the Pueblo West Women’s League, I would like to thank the community for attending our first “Game Night” on April 10 at Sonrise Church.

The event proved to be profitable and perhaps could become an annual event. Eighty people enjoyed playing Bunko, Bridge, Mahjongg, Dominoes, Uno and many more games.

A table full of men played poker for hours.

The monies from this fundraiser will help to strengthen our community by supporting it with financial contributions.

Local merchants and artisans were very generous with wonderful donations for our silent auction and giveaways.

I would like to recognize the following for their donations: Marriott Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, WalMart, Sam’s Club, Albertsons, Car Doctor, Starbucks (U.S. Highway 50), East Coast Pizza, Cultura Café, Ed Posa, Lisa Bailey, Mo Keenan-Mason, Linda Cates and Jerry Moore (local artisans), Mark Benson (garden windows), With Love and Blessings, Tiffanys, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Papa John’s Pizza, Little Caesars Pizza, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, Domino’s Pizza, Pueblo West Hardware, Aspen Leaf Café (Florence), Allied Wealth Advisors, Bite Me Cake Company, Deli Dave’s, Solar Roast Coffee Seabelle’s Shamrock Brewery, Razmataz, Real Deals, Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, Cheers, Tumbleweed Tavern, The Hen House, Gabby’s Diner and Asian Garden.

It is clear to me that our Pueblo West is becoming more united.

A special thanks to Sonrise Church for providing a location for this event.

Sonrise Church will also host our Spring Tea on May 10.

It would not have been a success without the support of the generous ladies of the Pueblo West Women’s League who donate their time, efforts, supplies and talents to this and other worthy causes.
