Letter: Arkansas Point camping delight

As I packed and organized to begin my trek back home to South Texas for the winter, I reflected on my first time as camp host at Arkansas Point, Lake Pueblo State Park.

The dedicated, enlightened, and cooperative rangers and workers I encountered made my maiden voyage into camp hosting delightful.

My experience on every level with the park rangers, staff, and special folks staying in the park; some regulars, some just passing through, has been a unique life adventure.

Each ranger, on staff or seasonal, plus general staff reached out professionally and in friendship in so many ways.

I truly believe Lake Pueblo State Park has a winning team.

Your area has a true “gem” in the attraction of Lake Pueblo State Park.

Each and every one of the small staff and group of rangers that successfully manage this valued state asset should truly receive a standing ovation.

They truly have my admiration.

Even my dogs, Cowboy and J-Bell, widened their horizons, befriended most, held out on a few, but also enjoyed the park and all it had to offer at their level.

Thank you to all at the park for one of my life’s best adventures.
