A woman was rescued Friday night after driving off a 200-foot cliff at Liberty Point in Pueblo West.
Sgt. Dave Black of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said the 51-year-old woman was conscious and that it took paramedics 30 minutes to extricate the victim.
“Medics were there within minutes,” Black said. “We don’t know if alcohol is involved or if it was a medical issue.”
At one point, scanner radio traffic said the woman had lost consciousness.
Black did not know which hospital the victim was taken to or what was her condition.
The woman was the lone occupant in a 2005 Chevy Colorado that drove out of the parking lot and off a cliff about 7:15 p.m.
