Join Echo Canyon River Expeditions and the Nature & Raptor Center of Pueblo for a unique and informative rafting trip on Monday.
Learn about the rich biodiversity of the Arkansas River while floating a scenic gentle section of water in upper Bighorn Sheep Canyon.
No rafting experience is necessary for this beautiful float as Echo Canyon guides will take care of rowing the rafts.
A Nature & Raptor Center Naturalist will also accompany each raft so you can learn along the way.
Only a limited number of spots are open for this trip, so reserve early to secure your space.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Nature & Raptor Center to provide unique experiences in education, conservation and recreation that inspire responsible environmental decision making.
Check in at Echo Canyon River Expeditions at 7 a.m. Monday, and get ready for a relaxing and education morning on the river.
Expect to be floating for approximately two hours.
After the trip, a live Bird of Prey presentation will take place at Echo Canyon.
Following the presentation feel free to join the Naturalists at the on-site 8 Mile Bar & Grill restaurant.
Although this is a gentle section of class II whitewater, you are still encouraged to wear quick drying clothing and secure footwear that can get wet.
Personal flotation devices are included in the cost of the excursion.
Feel free to bring binoculars, but please realize that even on a gentle class II section of river we will sometimes see splashes.
Cameras are only recommended if they are waterproof.
