If you’re a soccer player and want to sharpen up your skills before the next season, keep reading.
Soccer players ages 5-18 are welcome to take part in two camps that are guaranteed to help them become a better soccer player no matter what position they play on June 10-12 at the Pueblo West High School stadium.
These kind of camps are the only ones of its kind offered in Southern Colorado.
The camps are $65 per player and will be held in the evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Limited space is available and forms must be in by June 6.
Instructors will be high school and college level coaches and six goals will be on one field for reps.
The first camp from 5 to 7 p.m. is a champions soccer camp that will help each individual improve their technical and tactical skill areas such as fast foot work and dribbling with pace, passing and receiving the ball under pressure, volley and heading technique, defensive and offensive tactics, shooting and crossing instruction, timing of runs and defensive pursuit and possession and movement with/without the ball.
The second camp from 7 to 9 p.m. is an advanced attacking skills and goalkeeping camp which will help individuals dominate the goal box on a cross, punch a ball over the goal, distribute with accuracy, bend a ball around a wall, head a ball with accuracy and volley any ball out of the air.
