Parade winners and Rotary officers

With more than 30,000 people watching and participating in the annual Pueblo West Fourth of July Dry/Wet Parade, several float participants won some top prizes. The winners for the Dry section are Grand Marshall Pick – American Legion Post No. 2; Most Patriotic – American Wiping Rags; Most Creative – Pueblo West Rotary; Best Marching Band – Pueblo West High School; Best Percussion Band – Central High School Drum Line. The Wet section picks are Grand Marshall Pick- Pueblo Young Marines; Most Creative – Friends of God- Pueblo West; Most Patriotic – Pueblo West Neighborhood Crime Watch.


The Rotary Club of Pueblo West announced the installation of new officers June 28. With about 30 Rotarians in attendance, the following were installed for the new year from July 2013 to June 2014: President Chad Heberly, President-Elect Rick Clark, Past-President Frank Nash, Secretary John Gary, Treasurer Mellissa, P.R. / Seargent at Arms Jay Zarr, Service Projects Andy Blumberg, R.I. Foundation Tony Scanlon, Membership Brett Holland, At Large Ken Gulley.
