Crime Beat: Lengthy Pueblo County case nets two arrests
An 11-month investigation of a series of car break-ins ended this week with the arrests of two men.
Tyler Baker, 25, and Zachary Schworer, 20, are suspected of more than six break-ins in the Pueblo West area in 2012.
In September, the two were arrested on attempted robbery and menacing charges unrelated to the break-ins, according to a press release from the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
After the initial arrests, deputies searched Baker’s home and recovered numerous items that had been reported stolen, including cameras, GPS units, radios and electronic media devices.
The release said detectives also traced stolen items through pawn shops.
“I know that some citizens worry that after a crime, law enforcement goes to their home, takes a report, and then nothing ever happens. This certainly proves that isn’t the case for our team,” Sheriff Kirk Taylor said.
Baker and Schworer were arrested Tuesday on numerous counts of theft, trespassing, giving false information to a pawnbroker and criminal mischief.
Baker was being held in Pueblo County jail in lieu of $140,000 bail and Schworer was being held on $175,000 bail.
Laurie S. Cordova, 31, of Rocky Ford, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for identification theft. She was being held in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Jeremy A. Dellinger, 33, of an unlisted address on Dayton Avenue, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of harassment, third-degree assault, domestic violence and second-degree kidnapping. He was being held in jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Clinton P. Jordan, 32, of the 30000 block of Barnett Road, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He is free on $35,000 bail.
Warren D. Pritchard, 25, of the 400 block of South Oak Creek Drive, Pueblo West, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of theft. He was being held in jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Selene N. Ramos-Solis, 26, of the 33000 block of Colorado 96, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. She was being held in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
