Flu shot clinic to be held Jan. 21
Parkview Medical Center will hold a flu shot clinic from 4 to p.m. Jan. 21, at the main PMC location in Pueblo.
The vaccines will be at the Greenwood entrance.
The cost is $15 or free for Medicare B recipients.
Officials are urging anyone who has not already gotten a flu shot this season to get vaccinated. January and February are the height of flu season, and this year’s strain of the flu has been especially hard-hitting locally and nationally.
All ages – not just young and old or those with medical issues – are susceptible to the flu.
There have been two flu-related deaths in Pueblo County so far this season, and numerous hospitalizations.
Vaccines will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis for people ages 3 and up.
