Planned power outage in Beulah, area set Friday
Folks living in Beulah, don’t be alarmed when your power goes out this week.
San Isabel Electric Association, Inc., is conducting a scheduled power outage in the Beulah area from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday.
In the event of inclement weather, this power interruption will be rescheduled without further notice on Saturday during the same time period.
The general areas that will be without power are: the town of Beulah, North Creek, 3R Road, Siloam Road, Highway 78 down to Water Barrel Road.
A total of 1,172 accounts will be affected by the outage.
“Maintaining and sometimes upgrading the system is essential to keep equipment running as efficiently as possible,” said Dennis Astley, chief operating officer for the San Isabel Electric Association.’
The current Beulah Substation will be taken out of service to rebuild, adding two additional circuits, Astley said.
A temporary substation will be put in place to serve members in the outage area while the new circuits are added to the system.
