Iron Ladies Golf League
The Iron Ladies 9 hole Golf League is looking for new members to join the 26-member league.
The purpose is recreation, socializing and assisting in the development of skills and knowledge of the golf game.
The league plays through October on Tuesday mornings.

The Pueblo West Neighborhood Crime Watch has a new website that details meeting information and upcoming events.

Ladies Auxiliary meetings slated
The Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5812 of Pueblo West will meet every first Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 127 E Spaulding Ave.
Membership requirements can be picked at the VFW Post 5812 or you can call 719-547-2770 for more information. All family members of a qualified veteran are encouraged to join one of these auxiliaries to help ensure the continued support of the programs that help veterans receive the Aid and Benefits they are entitled to receive.
Men’s auxiliary meetings set
The newly formed Veterans of Foreign Wars Men’s Auxiliary will meet at 10 a.m. the second Saturday of the month at the VFW, 127 E. Spaulding Ave.
Membership in the men’s auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars shall be limited to husbands, widowers, fathers, grandfathers, sons, grandsons, brothers, half-brothers who attaines that status prior to age 16 or persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
VFW meeting changes time
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5812 of Pueblo West have changed their meeting day and time to the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the VFW hall located at 127 E. Spaulding Ave. in Pueblo West.
All qualified veterans are invited to join and take part in helping fellow vets and enriching our Pueblo West community.

The VFW Post 5812 now is offering Progressive Bingo on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
The doors will open at 10 a.m. and Bingo will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Bingo will be held in the back hall of the VFW Post 5812, 127 E. Spaulding Ave.
A limited lunch menu will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Third Thursday moves to Friday
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5812 will be moving the third Thursday dinner to the fourth Friday, beginning April 25. The dinners are from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the VFW, 127 E. Spaulding Ave., in Pueblo West.
The menus vary each month, as well as price.
The public is welcome.
All meals go toward projects supported by the Veterans of Foreign Wars for veterans.
Al-Anon family group starts
A second Al-Anon family group has started in Pueblo West.
The group meets from 7 to 8 p.m. every Sunday at SonRise Church, 421 E. Spaulding Ave, Room 115.

The Civil Air Patrol — Pueblo Eagles Composite Squadron, meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at the Colorado National Guard Armory, 1215 Acero St., in Pueblo.

Flow style yoga
Register to Aug. 1 for the next session of yoga for $27.
Held on Tuesdays for four weeks from 6 to 7 p.m. to Aug. 26 at the Memorial Recreation Building.
Come and enjoy this relaxing, toning, and flexibility improving class and meet new friends too. Students will need to bring a yoga mat.
Learning skills workshop
Register the week of July 14 for a new skills workshop program for kids ages Pre-K to 6th grade for $12.
The program is headed by a school counselor that will lead the workshops in age appropriate skills for learning, emotional management, and being assertive.
The two-day workshop is held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 30 for grades pre-k and first grade, at 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for second through fourth grade and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for fifth and sixth grade.
The skills children learn will increase their academic achievement and social success.
The Pueblo West Parks and Recreation is looking for a children’s dance instructor and also a part-time teacher that can run a pre-school like format children’s program.

Get ready for a Friday afternoon kids clay class for ages 7-14 years old.
Designed to introduce clay to the beginning students, the program is for three weeks, Aug. 22 from 3 to 4 p.m.
The program fee is $48 which includes all materials needed for the weekly projects.
A max of seven students will be taken.
August Walk Your Dog Hike
The Mountain Park Environmental Center’s Walk Your Dog Hike for all you hikers who want to bring your dog along, with the added bonus of healthy treats for your pooch, will be at 9 a.m. Aug. 23.
Dogs must be leashed.

Ann Carter, Regional Director, Alzheimer’s Association, will lead a class on understanding the warning signs that may be symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. This class will help people to understand the importance of visiting their doctor early for an assessment which can rule out treatable conditions that may be the cause of these symptoms. Early diagnosis helps with legal and financial planning, care options and treatment, and the opportunity to participate in clinical trials.
