Around P-Dub: Events (Dec. 15)
The community is invited to come get a close-up look at the new fire pumpers put into service with the Pueblo West Fire Department during the week of Thanksgiving. The vehicles will be on display during the Firefighters Pancake Breakfast Dec. 18, from 8 a.m. until noon.
“Everyone is invited to see these new public safety pumpers that have greatly increased firefighter’s ability to respond to emergencies in Pueblo West,” said Chief Brian Caserta. “Come and have some breakfast and visit with our firefighters.”
Longest Night Church service
To help those in the community who might be lonely, in mourning or feeling alienated, SonRise United Methodist Church in Pueblo West will hold a Longest Night church service on Dec. 21.
Planned for the winter solstice – the longest night of the year – the service will be at 6:30 p.m. and is open to anyone, regardless of affiliation.
The Longest Night service will be reflective, will accept people where they are and will help people believe in healing and hope. The idea of the Longest Night service is not new, but this is the first in Pueblo West. The service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 at SonRise and is open to all.
