Swim team is gearing up for S-CL meet
PW’s swimmers continuing to improve on their performances
Pueblo West High School’s girls swim team has spent its season building to a crescendo.
The target of that buildup is next week’s South-Central League meet, set for Friday and Saturday.
The Cyclones lost their last meet against La Junta last Tuesday (only their second dual-meet loss of the season) but still came out ahead.
“Although we lost our meet against La Junta last week, we still had great times and are only going to get better. We swim against Central on Tuesday (Jan. 28) and then we travel to the South Central League Meet the second weekend in February,” said head varsity coach Dianne Petkoff.
With the end of the season nearing, Coach Petkoff hopes her team continues to improve their times and most importantly continues to enjoy what they are doing.
