PWHS athletes sign letters of intent
Seven students from Pueblo West High School signed letters of intent to play collegiate sports last week. The signing ceremony was originally scheduled Feb. 5, but was postponed because of severe weather twice; students finally signed on Feb. 11.
“This is a great group of kids who have worked hard to get to this point,” said PWHS Athletic Director Jamie Wagner. “Not many kids get the opportunity to play college athletics. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication and these kids have done that – plus, they have represented PWHS the right way and we appreciate that. They are true Cyclones!”
Keith Hed and Cody Ortiz will both play football for Colorado State University-Pueblo. Brianna Rodriguez and Schuyler Adkins signed with Adam’s State College for softball. Bailee Jameson signed with the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs for soccer, while Alee Quint will play volleyball with Otero Junior College and Brock Wahlert signed with Wyoming University for football.
